This large solar pole top light fixture is of a traditional style lamp and emits 200 to 250 lumens throughout the night. The lamp automatically activates at sunset and emits 500 lumens for 5 hours. After the first 5 hours it will dim to 250 lumens for another 5 hours, and then switch off until motion is detected. Once motion is detected the light will activate at 2000 lumens for 30 seconds, and then switch back off. The lamp is designed for mounting to an existing pole up to 3" in diameter and up to about 10' tall.
The lamp consists of the solar panel discretely installed on the top of the lamp, with the battery and LEDs installed within. All components are built in to one unit to allow for quick and easy installation to an existing round pole or post. The construction of this solar light fixture consists of a polycarbonate lamp shade, with cast aluminum framing. Color of light output is white. Color of product is black with a clear lampshade.
This post top light can also be used to replace a lamp that is damaged or where the electric cable is defective. A popular choice with private developments, HOA's, communities, parks, and municipalities etc. This product can also be used for general public areas, walkways, driveways and residential applications etc.

The solar panel must be installed in a location where it can receive full direct sunshine (when available) and usually set facing South at an appropriate angle (where adjustment options allow). The solar panel must not be installed in a shaded or part shaded location and never indoors.
